So here’s a reminder to enjoy what we can … also we don’t have SNOW, so there’s that!

COVID testing is available in Fallbrook. Some sites require appointments, most are drive-up, most are free for all. Check the websites below for the requirements and locations.

Double check if there are any fees or service charges — we haven’t checked if these COVID tests are free for everyone.
For SD county, starting November 14, restaurants, gyms, churches and movie theatres must stop indoor operations. Retail stores will need to keep customers at 25% of capacity. San Diego County’s case rate for COVID increased (from 6.5 to 8.9 cases per 100,000 residents) over the last two weeks and state officials have bumped the county into the purple tier.
These restrictions run for AT LEAST three weeks — til Dec 5 at the earliest. We will only get out of this tier and have fewer restrictions if we have two weeks in a row with a case rate below 7 cases per 100,000 residents.
The entire US is seeing staggering increases, with nearly 140,000 new cases on Tuesday Nov 10 — that’s a 34% increase over last week — and over 1400 deaths.
New COVID restrictions started on Saturday November 14 til at least December 5. So the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society had re-opened with precautions after their COVID shutdown but now is shut again.
Such a cool place! We’re close to amazing mineral areas and a tour of the museum and showroom is well worth it!
Take the video tour! — Check out the video of the cool mastodon plus fluorescent rocks and more!
A Knox Box is like a realtor’s keylock box — it allows first responders to access a key to the house during a wildfire or medical emergency.
A few weeks ago, I said to my friend Robin, “Fallbrook really needs a better way to find local information!” Robin and I are both relative newcomers (we moved here separately a year ago, to neighboring houses, but we haven’t really gotten out in the community because, well, COVID). So we set out to create a community portal. everythingfallbrook.org was born! It’s still just a baby website, so your feedback and comments are welcome — email us at everythingfallbrook@gmail.com. We’re still working on things — we need to get our social media accounts set up of course, but other features as well. Lots more good stuff to come!
We hope that you find everythingfallbrook.org useful, with events and activities info, as well as links to resources, up-to-date info on COVID, fires, and utility shutoffs. Everything that is directly relevant to us as Fallbrookians.
In the meantime, thanks to all who supported and helped us! It does take a village for any project like this, and we’re so grateful to all who pitched in to get this site going!
