When we switched water suppliers (after a huge fight with the county), our monthly FPUD water bills decreased.
I got an envelope in the mail a few days ago from Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD). Turns out that property tax bills also include a water infrastructure charge, and that will be reduced too because of the changeover.
It’s not a huge change:
- CWA charge is being removed — $10 / acre with a minimum charge of $10
- MWD charge reduced from $11.50 to $6.94 — a $4.56 reduction
Every little bit helps though — kudos to FPUD for watching out for our wallets!
